Universal Children’s Day. A posthumous Marist nomination was made for Helen Wamey to represent children of all cultures, both living and those who have passed, in their statement of rights. Helen contracted a lethal virus in 2021.
Helen is a posthumous Marist representative of the youngest generation, to help us focus on the issue of children dying from preventable illnesses, gun violence and war.

Helen Wamey, chosen to posthumously represent Marists, as we address the issue of children’s deaths from preventable illnesses and violence, commencing with the declaration of rights of children, “The Children’s Manifesto”.
